The proposed rill and gully stabilization plan should be revised to be din line with the Eckman Park approved plan. Specifically, the plan should commit to regrading rills and gullies deeper than 9", (in addition to furrow and diversion installation, etc,) except for designated permanent gully locations. The discussion ort page 2,05-49 relating to permanent gullies should also be revised. Major reclaimed drainages in the Little Middle Creek Tract may be appropriate locations for constructed channels and gullying deeper than 9" might be "natural". However, documentation of the pre-mine condition of these drainages with respect to erosion will need to be provided if permanent gully approval is requested. Proposed permanent gully locations should be delineated on a post-mine topographic map and a channel construction and maintenance plan patterned after that approved for Eckman Park would need to be submitted. The application indicates that four of the five previously sampled gully sites lie within the Little Middle Creek Tract. However, based on Map M-3 from the Eckman Park Rill and Gully Plan, only Site 5 is within the proposed affected area. A narrative description of the erosional condition of the Site 5 drainage should be provided (if permanent gully status is requested for the reclaimed drainage in that location). If permanent gully status is to be requested for additional reclaimed drainages, characterization of the erosional condition of the affected drainages should be provided. 5.
