I attempted to verify those costs, but have been unable to do so. The cost <br />estimate provided by the operator was based on the assumption that road surface material <br />would be disposed of in Pit 1. After discussing this with you, it became apparent that the <br />roads will be reclaimed approximately ten years after the pit areas. It would not be likely, <br />then, that the pit area would be redisturbed at a later date to facilitate disposal of road <br />material. The operator should either revise the reclamation plan to include an alternate <br />disposal location for the road base material, or revise the project schedule so that reclamation <br />of the roads and pit areas coincide. The reclamation cost estimate for the roads should be <br />adjusted accordingly. <br />If you or the operator have questions or need additional information, please let me know. <br />c: David A.
