RE: AMENDMENT AM-002 - Western Mobile Inc.'s Deepe Farm Pit - File No M-81-302
Dear Dr. Bunin:
In response to your request that you be notified of any revisions submitted for the above-referenced permit,
we are informing you that on March 6, 1997 the Division determined that Amendment No. 002, submitted by
Western Mobile for the Deepe Farm Pit, was complete and ready for technical review. The purpose of the
amendment is to reduce the number of lakes on the reclaimed area from five (5), with a total of 38.1 acres of
exposed water, to two (2), with a total acreage of 4.2 acres of exposed water. Western Mobile also proposed
adding a shallow drainage channel at the north end of the pit and extending the previously approved drainage
channel along the east side of the pit.
The applicant has been informed that their amendment has been accepted, and been instructed to publish a
public notice once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks.
If you wish to object to this amendment you must comment in writing within twenty (20) calendar days of the
last date of publication as described in Rule 1.7 of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulation. Also as
described by Rule 1.7.4(2) "In the event the Office receives an objection within twenty (20) calendar days of
the last day of publication and in accordance with this Section 1.7, it shall set the application for hearing before
the Board, and schedule an Informal Conference as provided in Subsection 1.4.6."
