6ATTLE MOUNTAIN RESOURCES Page 10~g <br />San Luis Project Technical Speci~caiions <br />When required, cellulose fiber mulch shall be added after the proportionate quar~tities of water <br />and other approved materials have been placed in the slurry tank. All ingredients shall be mixed <br />to form a homogeneous slurry. Using the color of the mulch as a metering agent, the operator <br />shall spray apply the slurry mixture uniformly over the designated seeded area. Unless otherwise <br />ordered for speci£c areas, wood cellulose fiber mulch shall be applied at the rate of 1.5 tons/acre. <br />If hay is used as the mulching material, the application rate shall be two tons/acre. <br />If wood fiber hydraulic mulch is utilized, an organic tackifier shall be included in the mulch <br />application at a rate of 100 pounds per acre. <br />Hydraulic mulching shall not be done in the presence of free surface water resulting from rain, <br />melting snow or other causes. <br />Areas not properly mulched or areas damaged due to the Contractor's negligence, shall be <br />repaired and re-mulched in an acceptable manner a[ the Contractor's expense. <br />N:~DHALLMAMSANLUIS~SANLUIS.DOC 10-g SRK Pro~eci <br />
