Field Approved
Minor Revision 92-75: Permit C-81-071. Mines 1. 2. and Eckman Park
Per the requirements of the above referenced field approval, CYCC is submitting the enclosed
information which deals with the site investigations associated with location of TCC's permanent
wastercek disposal azea.
The surface upon which the exploration activities will occur is owned by Cyprus Western Coal
Company. Twentymile has the legal right to enter the propery to conduct its exploration
activities.
Site Description -Sites 1 and 5 aze located within an azea that has been disturbed previously by
Colorado Yampa Coal Company's surface mining activities. It should be noted that site 1 is
located within a bond release area. Sites 2 through 4 aze located on undisturbed azeas adjacent
to the above referenced surface mine. Any areas disturbed during the site investigation will be
reclaimed and seeded with CYCC's approved pastureland seed mixture.
The site investigation area is located within the Foidel Creek drainage. Given the fact that all
surface runoff drains to Pond D, no impacts aze anticipated for Foidel Creek. The borings will
be into spoil and adjacent bedrock, and except for any of the borings that may be converted to
monitoring wells, the borings will be grouted or backfilled upon completion of the investigation.
The site investigation will minimize disturbance by conducting the field activities during periods
of favorable weather and field conditions. Therefore, unless adverse field or weather conditions
aze encountered, topsoil will not be salvaged from access routes into the boring or test pit sites.
If an area needs to be leveled to accommodate the auger or backhce the available topsoil will
be salvaged and placed adjacent to the site. Upon completion of the activities the topsoil will
be redistributed over the site.
