Y <br />~/g76 <br />Foy Romer, <br />Governor <br />Fretl R Banta. <br />Division Duector <br />RE: Public Meeting in Somerset, PR-O1, Somerset Mine, Permit C-81-022 <br />Dear Mr, Bear: <br />The Mined Land Reclamation Division will hold a public meeting on March 21, <br />1991 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Community House in Somerset, Colorado. <br />In Permit Revision No. 1, Somerset Mining Company (Permit No. C-81-022) <br />proposed to add to the present permit area. The additional acreage will be <br />located to the east of the present permit area. The new permit area boundary <br />will be within 100 feet of the outside right-of-way of State Highway 133. <br />The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for public comment <br />regarding the proximity of the new permit boundary to State Highway 133 so <br />that the Mined Land Reclamation Division can determine whether the interests <br />of the public and affected landowners will be protected from the proposed <br />mining operation. This will allow the Division to make the finding required <br />by Rule 2.05.3(3)(c)(v). <br />We would appreciate your notifying the appropriate people in Somerset Mining <br />Company so they can attend this meeting to provide information on the Permit <br />Revision if necessary, <br />Thank you for your cooperation and if you have any questions please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />Carl B.
