.~. ~ <br /> <br />~II ~I~II~~II~~~~ ~I~ <br />999 <br />~ECLiti' ,_, <br />JAN 1 8 199 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Mined Lard <br />Reclamation ~~,;,;;ion <br />NEW CASTLE ENERGY CORPORATION, with its offices at 7476 East <br />Arkansas Avenue #104, Denver, Colorado 80231, telephone 303 337 <br />3877, has filed a Technical Revision to its Mining Permit C-84- <br />065 with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division. The Tech- <br />nical Revision relates to the inclusion in the permit area of a <br />small strip of land north of the County Road 335, but south of <br />the Colorado River. <br />The subject property is located in Garfield County, approximately <br />ten miles west of Glenwood Springs and three miles east of New <br />Castle in the Grand Hogback. The quadrangle name is Storm King <br />Mountain. The site is accessed by taking the New Castle I-70 in- <br />terchange south to County Road 335 and then east approximately 1 <br />1/2 miles to the mine access road. <br />The permit area is within 100 feet of a public road. A 25 foot <br />section immediatedly east of the mine entrance is part of the <br />permit area. <br />The entire permit area is described in more detail as follows: <br />A) Township 6S, Range 91W, Section 1: Those lands in the NE/4 <br />yet south of County Road 335, lots 3 and 4, S/2, S/2 NW/4. <br />B) T6S, R90W, Section 6: All lands south of County Road 335 <br />and a strip of land (25. feet wide by approximately 400 feet <br />long) which extends north from the county road to the <br />Colorado River, just east of the mine entrance road. <br />C) T6S, R90W, Section 5: All lands in S/2 SWJ4. <br />D) T6S, R90W, Section 8: All lands in N/2, N/2 SE/4 and NE/4 <br />SW/4. <br />E) T6S, R90W, Section 9: All lands in S/2, NW/4 and SW/4. <br />F) T65, R90W, Section 15: All lands in NW/4. <br />G) T6S, R90W, Section 7: All lands in NE/4 and N/2 NW/4. <br />
