These rates are found in the 010 "Overhead"
section of Means.
Engineering Fees: See 010-028-0011
The actual rate depends upon the size of the overall job.
I am including a semi-log graph that shows how we would
calculate the Engineering/Contract Prep. Fee.
Public Liability Insurance: See 010-040-0600 this is 1.550
Performance Bonds: See 010-068-0011 and -0200
We averaged these two to get 0.975%~
Profit: We calculate on 10.000 of direct costs
We also include a cost for DMG Administration Expenses. which
includes the extra costs involved with DMG inspections. This is
calculated on an avg of $28.51/hr the hours calculated based upon
overall job hours.
We did allow for third shift work for Colowyo ONLY for backfilling
and Grading Large Earthmoving tasks. This would exclude any of the
more precise tasks like Topsoil replacement, Pond and ditch
removal. etc.
If you or Jim Kiger have additional questions, let me know.
