Gregg Squire - 3 - July 25, 1990
12. A volume of ground water entering the pit is estimated to range between
1500 to 3000 gpm. Please describe what permeability or transmissity and
corresponding length or area were used to derive this estimate.
13. The ground water impact mitigation plan appears adequate with the
following additions:
a. Additional well owners may need to be noticed depending on the plan
for use of the existing lake as a recharge basin. If the lake is
not used and the cone of depression approaches additional wells,
these well owners should be noticed and considered as part of the
monitoring plan.
b. The results of monitoring, including data collected and an
interpretive discussion of monitoring results, should be included
as part of each annual report.
Exhibit L - Reclamation Cost Estimate
14. No estimate has been provided for the following hydraulic structures:
a. First Creek rundown into North Lake;
b. Lateral spillway between reservoirs; and,
c. Exit spillway from North Lake to river.
As these structures are part of the plan, an estimate of their
construction cost should be submitted as part of the reclamation cost
estimate.
JTD/yjb
cc: Bruce Humphries
Steve Renner
8952E
