~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~ <br />Parkerson Construction,lnc. <br />710 South 15th Street <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81501 <br />NOTICE OF FILING APPLICATION <br />AMENDMENT TO COLORADO MINED LAND <br />RECLAMATION PERMIT M-81-299 <br />NOTICE TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />OF THE LOCAL U. S. RESOURCE CONSERVATION SERVICE <br />GRAND JUNCTION DISTRICT <br />Parkerson Construction, Inc., applicant, has applied for an amendment to <br />Division of Minerals and Geology Regular (112) Construction Materials <br />Extraction permit M-81-299 (Valley Vista Gravel Pit), to increase the permit <br />affected area by 1.49 acres. The 1.49 acre addition represents an existing <br />road leading from the operations area and traversing applicant's lands in a <br />northwesterly direction to State Highway 141. The proposed new haulroad <br />corridor will be 50 feet wide and 1300 feet in length, when improved, and will <br />be used to access State Highway 141. <br />The improved haulroad will be located as depicted on the Mining and <br />Reclamation Plan maps included with this permit amendment application, with <br />the County Conditional Use Permit application, and as represented in the <br />County Planning Department and Board of County Commissioners public hearings. <br />The attached information is being provided to notify you of the nature of the <br />proposed permit amendment. The entire amendment application is on file with <br />the Division of Minerals and Geology and the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's <br />office. <br />Application proposes to reclaim all of the permit affected land to desert <br />rangeland use. Pursuant to Section 34-32.5-11b(4)(m), C.R.S., the U. S. <br />Resource Conservation Service (SCS) may confer with the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board before approving the post-mining land use. The Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board will appreciate your comments on the proposed permit <br />amendment. <br />Note that, in order to preserve your right to a hearing before the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on this permit amendment application, you must submit <br />written comments on the application within twenty (20) days of the date of the <br />last publication of notice pursuant to Section 34-32-112(10), C.R.S. <br />If you would like to discuss the proposed post-mining land use, or any other <br />issue regarding this permit amendment application, please contact the Division <br />of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, (303) 866-3567.
