The Division has completed review of the referenced phase 1 bond release, and we are
prepared to issue a proposed decision. Our final cost estimate projects a naw reclamation
liability amount of $1,797,639.00 (after proposed Phase 1 release of 51,466,510.00). The
finalized estimate incorporates several changes to the draft estimate that we provided to
you as an enclosure to my letter of July t5, 2003.
Specific changes include the following:
Task 19-Quantity of non-toxic cover reduced to 4,356 CCY.
Task 20-Quantity of non-toxic cover reduced to 1,452 CCY.
Task 120-The 2West portal tasks that had been erroneously retained in the draft estimate
were deleted.
Task 121-Permanent Discharge 016 sealing tasks that were erroneously included in the
draft estimate were deleted.
Task 130 and 131-Revegetation costs were adjusted based on the approved seedmixes in
Table 14-8, and Task 132 was added as appropriate (Broadcast Seeding Steep Slopes).
Please replace the master summary sheet and tasks OOb, OOh, 001, 019, 020, 120, 121,
130 and 131 of the draft cost estimate with the enclosed updates, and add new task 132.
