Market conditions <br />are creating possibilities for wild fluctuation in any estimate <br />of the time required for mining and reclamation. On the basis <br />of current market conditions, we estimate that mining will be <br />completed in three to five years, and reclamation will be com- <br />pleted within two years after mining is finished. <br />Reclamation Costs, Revised. It is anticipated that <br />approximately 50 percent of the vegetated area of the Worthing <br />property will require reseeding before an adequate reproductive <br />growth of grass is obtained. Therefore, cost for reclamation <br />oY the Worthing property is estimated on the basis of 4.44 acres <br />to be reseeded. No other work should be necessary on the lands <br />now owned by Mr. Worthing. <br />On the Frei acreage, the lakes and roads are the result <br />of the mining operation. The roads may require minimal final <br />grading. The 0.711 acres included in house and yard area will <br />require no further work. Of the 12.831 acres to be revegetated, <br />approximately 3.56 acres have already been resoiled and seeded. <br />However, we estimate that only about half of this area will <br />demonstrate satisfactory growth. Thus, 9.271 acres may require <br />resoiling and 11.05± acres may require reseeding. The beach <br />and recreation area of 8.481 acres will require only that exist- <br />ing sands be spread smoothly across the area. <br />The basis upon which reclamation cost estimates have <br />been made is as follows: <br />
