Please refer to the attached letter dated August 7, 2006. In that <br />letter, the following paints were discussed specific to reclamation efforts on newly disturbed lands: <br />1) Reclamation efforts need to continue to focus on re-establishment of a shrub community <br />primarily consisting of Gambel's oak, serviceberry, and sagebrush. <br />2) Reclamation efforts should consider incorporating innovative approaches such as varying topsoil <br />depths depending upon desired plant communities. <br />3) Reclamation efforts should focus on developing natural snow holding sites by varying contour <br />and topography within the reclaimed area. <br />As detailed in the previous letter, these concepts are what the CDOW believes to be the best approach to <br />improving the likelihood of shrub establishment at this site.
