Box 449 Alamosa, Co. 81101 (719) 589-6671
Att: Jim Stevens
RE: Smith Pit II M-94-074
Dear Jim:

iii iuiiiiiniu iii

Jt1L 11 1994

In reference to your inadequacy letter dated July 7, 1994, we
offer the following addendums to our application packet:
Exhibit C:
1. We hereby commit to seeding the topsoil stockpile with the
same seed mix and application rate as specified in the
reclamation plan. No fertilizer will be used, seedbed
preparation will consist of discing or harrowing prior to
drilling the seed. Work shall be performed in the fall of 1994
once topsoil is stockpiled.
2. The asphalt plant is 100% portable. We will be submitting a
revision promptly to the M77-053 permit requesting permission to
set the plant there.
Exhibit D:
Efforts shall be made to prepare the seedbed. The area shall
either be disced or harrowed prior to drilling the seed. It is
not anticipated that fertilizer will be needed to restore the
vegetation to its present state.
Exhibit F:
We did not contact the CDOH Water Quality Control because we knew
that no storm water would be leaving the property. Upon receipt
of your letter I contacted Cathy Dolan with Water Quality Control
at 303-692-3500. We discussed the topography of the permit area
and she stated that a storm water permit was not necessary. She
said that if written verification was needed, I would need to
send her a letter and she would respond. In the interest of our
July 12 date, I did not send the letter. If you desire me to
follow this up, please advise.
Equal Opportunity Employer
