I have enclosed a technical revision
fee of $188.00. Also, enclosed are two copies of this request and supporting
documentation.
Enclosed is a letter signed by the owner of the wind farm, Ridge Crest Wind Partners,
LLC, that exist within the land in which my gravel pit is located. This letter gives me
permission to mine closer than 200 feet of access roads and a 40' transmission corridor
owned by the wind farm. The mining activity will not be any closer than 10 feet of the
access roads and 40' transmission corridor, which is basically another access road.
Enclosed is a letter from a certified soils engineer, Anthony J. Wernsman. Anthony is the
original engineer involved in developing the hog farm and lagoon. Therefore, Anthony
has good information and knowledge of the hog farm structures. I chose to seek an
engineer's advice, as my brother and owner of the hog farm, Wayne Schumacher,
explained to me that he did not want to sign any agreement because he does not want
EPA to question him or have concerns about him signing off on such an agreement. He
would rather not sign anything and have me get an engineer analysis allowing the mining
to be closer than the 200 feet buffer. The mining activities will not be any closer than 65
feet of the hog unit structures including the hog manure waste lagoon.
I also wish to change the inspection contact to myself as follows:
Inspection Contact: Jeffrey L.
