Long <br />Division Duecmr <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on December 23, 1996, an application to revise <br />coal mining operations at the Colowyo Coal Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The <br />revision was submitted by Colowyo Coal Company L.P.. All review and comment periods as provided in the <br />Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The revision addresses changes in the post mining topography of the Section 16 Pit area. <br />The Surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 28 miles south of Craig, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />Township 3 North, Range 93 West, 6th P.M. <br />Portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, I1, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, and 22 <br />Township 4 North, Range 93 West, 6th P.M. <br />Sections 15, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 33, and 34 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Ninemile Gap. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Courthouse, <br />221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625-0000, and at the Division office. For additional information or to <br />provide written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request <br />that comments be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this letter.
