Of the 70 acres on private <br />land, 61 acres are owned by the Operator and 9 acres are owned by others. <br />The combined permit area of the Somerset Coal Mine with the addition of the <br />Sanborn Creek Mine East Tract contains 5,529 acres of land of which 1,678 <br />acres are on private land. The mine site is located north of the town of <br />Somerset, Colorado. The North Fork of the Gunnison River is located south of <br />the town of Somerset. The mine permit areas are located on the U.S. <br />Geological Survey 7.5 minute Bowie and Somerset Quadrangle maps. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map <br />of 0926. A copy of the permit revision application is available for public <br />inspection at the Delta County Courthouse, 5th & Palmer, Delta, CO. Written <br />comments, objections or requests for an informal conference on the permit <br />revision application may be submitted to, and additional information obtained <br />from, the Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, (303> 866-3567.
