Problems listed as # 1, 4 and 5 in the Inspection Report are included
in the Technical Revision submittal. A draft version of the T.R. was faxed to satisfy the
corrective action date for Problem 5-the encroachment issue at the north boundary of
AM-1. The remedies for Problems 2 and 3 are described below.
Problem 2: Diesel fuel tanks/spill containment
The diesel fuel storage tank for the asphalt plant has been removed from the site.
This tank was taken off site on May 1 1, 2000.
The diesel fuel tank for the crusher plant generator has been placed in a spill
containment structure. The spill containment structure consists of a synthetically
lined berm. The berm is sufficient height to contain the entire storage tank volume in
the event of a tank rupture. A synthetic (PVC, polyethelene, etc.) liner will be
installed at the floor and interior sides of the berm as part of the secondary
containment structure. Photographs were transmitted by fax on May l 1, 2001.
Problem 3: Goose nesting boxes
The 6 nestilig boxes have been constructed and installed. Photographs are included
with this letter.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
~(~ ~d.,,~.~_.
Richard Johnson
Resource Manager
