Exhibit .D ~ • <br />A <br />kelton, Inc. <br />LRB Permit Application <br />heifer Pit ' <br />orwood, Colorado i. <br />EXHIBIT C ~~ <br />Mining Plan <br />This particular gravel pit has been in operation for forty <br />(40) years. At the present time, it is estimated there is <br />enough gravel in the pit to continue mining for another <br />twenty years at twice the present volume. <br />'2. The average depth of the topsoil is one foot. The topsoil <br />will be stockpiled away Prom the gravel pit on adjacent <br />property owned by Applicant. It will be stabilized with <br />i native grasses until ready for reclamation use. <br />~3. The overburden in this pit has an average depth of one foot. <br />i It will be stockpiled near the topsoil stockpile until the <br />pit is reclaimed, at which time it will be placed as the <br />first lift under the topsoil. <br />~d. The deposit varies in thickness with an overall average <br />thickness of twenty-five (25) feet. <br />:5. The operation consists only of an access road and the pit <br />itself. The crue~her plant which we are using is portable, <br />and not in this location except when crushing. When crushing <br />In this pit, the crusher plant is moved from one location to <br />~ another for maximum efficiency and minimal hauling of <br />materials. There are no underground operations, offices, <br />shops, etc., nor does the company have plans to place such <br />facilities at this location. <br />~6. The entire 9.72 acres is to be mined. <br />7. The access road to this gravel pit is 20 feet wide and is <br />described as follows: <br />The centerline of the existing access road to this <br />parcel is described as Follows: <br />Beginning 'at a point which bears South, 106 feet from <br />the West 1/,4 Corner of said Section 13; Thence East 63 <br />Peet; Theri'ae South 31 degrees 15 minutes East, 127 feet; <br />Thence South d4 degrees 28 minutes East, 198 feet; <br />Thence North 88 degrees 9 minutes East, 263 feet; Thence <br />South 5 degrees 57 minutes East, 228 feet to the North <br />Boundary of the parcel described in EXHIBIT A. <br />The road is a gravelled road and no improvements are planned <br />at this time. <br />_.. .~ <br />
