The
washer will be located Just South of the crushing, staging and
stockpile sites In Area II, as shown on Exh[bit C. Water will be
obtained from the Clty of Canon Clty through a tap and Dieter off
the existing water main In Tunnel Drive, and delivered to the
washer through a 2" P.V.C. pipe line installed alongside the main
haul road. Clean water will be stored at the washer !n steel,
above ground tanks with a maximum capacity of 10,000 gallons.
Water discharged from the washer will be placed !n a two-stage
sedimentation pond, with clear water being returned to the
storage tanks for reuse. Water lost through evaporation will be
replaced by water delivered by pipeline from the Clty water main.
This proposed washing operation will not directly affect any sur-
face or ground water system; therefore, no Construction Aggregate
Industrial Wastewater Discharge Pernlt will be required. It is
anticipated that aggregate washing will occur only during ap-
proximately 90 days per year, yielding approximately 20,000 tons
of washed product annually.
I[ you have any questions or desire additional information on
this matter, please don't hesitate to contact me.
S1 1y, jo° - ....mss
~~~~ ~- Mt1M'9El;t
IOi«~
Charles R.
