Overall, the ground water in the Cresson Mine area is <br />• characterized acalcium-sulfate dominated with variable pH. <br />Grassy Valley <br />Water quality was summarized for seven wells in the Grassy Valley area. <br />The oldest well was installed in 1994 and the most recent well was installed in <br />1997. More than five quarters of water quality data are available for the ground <br />water in this area. Overall, the ground water in Grassy Valley is chazacterized as <br />calcium plus variable magnesium and sodium+potassium sulfate with near-neutral <br />pH. <br />Vindicator Valley <br />Water quality was summarized for two wells in Vindicator Valley. Both <br />wells were installed in 1997 and have more than five quarters of data available. <br />• Overall, the ground water in Vindicator Valley is characterized by calcium-sulfate <br />dominated water with near neutral pH. <br />Gold Run <br />Three wells were used to summarized the water quality in Goid Run. Ail <br />wells were installed in mid-1998 and have at ]east five quarters of data available. <br />Overall, the ground water in Gold Run is characterized by bicarbonate to sulfate- <br />calcium solutions with neutral pH. <br />Wilson Creek <br />Water quality was summarized for three wells in Wilson Creek. All wells <br />were installed before mid-1995 and have at least five quarters of data available. <br />Overall, the ground water is chazacterized abicarbonate-calcium-magnesium <br />• dominated with neutral pH. <br />29 <br />
