In a previous permitting action, Permit
Revision No. 3, BRL received approval for the construction of a downhill conveyor, coal stockpile and
trck loading system and a new Pond B. The old Pond B will be removed to make room for the coal
stockpile bench.
As a condition of approval for PR-03, BRL promised to perform geo-technical tests of specific onsite
conditions in order to verify the geo-technical model assumptions. These tests were to be performed at
three locations; the downhill conveyor transfer station, the coal stockpile pad and the new Pond B. The
geo-technical report of the onsite conditions at the new Pond B location has been submitted in TR-14.
I have included a complete copy of the TR-14 submittal. 1 have also included two menmos that Jim
Pendleton wrote to me concerning the PR-03 project. I would appreciate it if you could review the geo-
technical report. I will look at the hydrologic aspects that may have changed from the PR-03 designs.
This TR was called complete on March 24, 2000. The adequacy review letter is due April 21, 2000. If
you need any additional information, please le[ me know. Thanks for your assistance.
Attachments
c:\ms97\bowie2\tr 14mem o 1
