We are planning to take no more than 12 vertical feet from the top of the embankment at any
one location; this will leave a minimum of 8 feet of embankment above the uppermost elevation of the tailings
within the fatality at any given point. Plans are to lower the embankment in select locations so as to provide a
reclaimed final embankment top configuration that is undulating for visual blending with the surrounding
topography.
As you will recall, the lower tailings fatality was permanently breached along the eastern margin of the
embankment in the eady 1990's. The proposed work will not alter the form and function of the permanent
breach or the embankment as part of the final Gosure and reclamation of the fatality. All disturbed areas will be
reseeded with species similar to those used in the past at the project.
Enclosed please find a check in the amount of $188.00 for the necessary TR filing fees associated with the
planned work. The work proposed in this TR will be completed in conjunction with the work outlined in TR-011
filed with your office recently.
Thank you for your time and attention on this matter. If you have any questions, or require further information,
please contact me in the Albuquerque office or by cell phone - (505) 400-2794.
Sincerely yours,
H 0IMEBTAKE MINING C MPANY /
Alan D.
