That depth will be at an elevation of 5350'. All mining will take place within the envelope
already disturbed.
Reclamation Plan
As can be seen on the reclamation plan map the total acreage disturbed is approximately 6.5 acres.
Within the next fifteen years the area outlined in green (2.3 acres) will be fully reclaimed and
revegetated using the same dry-land pasture seed mix outlined in the permit. This will reduce the total
area disturbed to 4.2 acres. This will allow a larger area, outlined in black, to be utilized for reduction
of the highwalls to no steeper than a 2 l0 1 slope. Any additional material required will be hauled in
from Southdown's other operations. The total area effected will not exceed 9.99 acres.
Sincerely,

Eric Leigh
Mining Engineer
Cc: John Lohr
Jim Leiding
file
Enclosures: 5 pages
~ iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
RECEIVED
December 8, 1997 O~C ~ ~ 991
P O.
