CARBON JUNCTION MINE <br />DRILL HOLE DATA <br />HOLE 94-1 <br />DATE: <br />LOCATION: <br />ELEVATION: <br />DRILLER: <br />CONTRACTOR: <br />COMPANY REPS: <br />1/6/94 <br />North 219,950 ft. <br />East 1,315,050 ft. <br />6946' Gr. <br />Leo Beeman <br />Beeman Brothers Drilling <br />Jim Hendricks, Darry Ferguson <br />DRILLING PROGRAM: <br />Hole 94-1 had a number of purposes which, among other things, <br />were to acquire geologic, stratagraphic, and hydrologic information <br />to comply with Oakridge's Coal Permit, # C-92--80, and to better <br />define the potential water resources which might be available from <br />the well. The water resources in the well were of particular <br />importance since the water produced from the well would likely be <br />ground water. This hole was drilled in the middle of the existing <br />pit to gather the above data in location where the maximum planned <br />pit would be located. <br />Beeman Brothers Drilling set up on the hole and began drilling <br />at approximately 9:00 am on January 6, 1994. The drill bit was a <br />6.5 inch sealed bearing bit. Early drilling was fast due to the <br />nature of the shales that were encountered it the middle of the <br />pit. Strata samples were taken every two feet and saved in sealed <br />plastic bags. The strata was then identified and a composite <br />sample of each distinct strata was saved. The first water was <br />encountered at approximately 35 feet as recorded by the driller. <br />An additional flow of water was encountered at approximately 60 <br />feet. Water monitoring was initiated at 120 feet and continued to <br />the total depth of the well. The amount of water being produced <br />from the hole was measured at 40 foot intervals for the remainder <br />of the hole. At each 40-foot increment the flow of water was <br />measured by timing the fill-up of a 6 gallon bucket. Five <br />sequential measurements were taken at each depth and averaged to <br />determine the flow at the specified interval. The time and depth <br />of the hole was recorded for each measurement. A geophysical log <br />was run on the hole and is attached as a reference to the <br />information below. <br />
