The gamma
log will be compared to the data obtained during installation of the solution mining
' well to confirm movement.
• Consult with CDMG, BLM, and EPA regarding the results of the above-described
tests to determine an appropriate action plan. If the evidence indicates that
significant movement has occurred in the Mahogany Zone and that there is a
' significant potential for aquifer contamination, the ultimate corrective action would
be to cease active mining and abandon the well.
' The process monitoring systems are described in Section 5.0 of the Groundwater and Surface
Water Monitoring Plan. If cavern integrity is lost as determined by the process monitoring systems
' outlined in Table 4 of the Groundwater and Surface Water Monitoring Plan, then corrective action
' would be initiated according to procedures outlined in Section 6.9.3 of the Groundwater and Surface
Water Monitoring Plan.
' 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL
' Procedures for quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) will be developed prior to
commencement of commercial operations. The QAQC procedwes will address data collection,
t frequency, accuracy, recording, and reporting
' 7.0 REFERENCES
' Dowding, C.H., M.B. Su, K.
