December 13, /999 ~ • Page 25 ' temperature meters will be performed as outlined in Appendix C-Standard Operating Procedure ' for Groundwater and Surface Water Sampling. 5.3 Data Reduction, Validation, and Reporting 5.3.1 Dntn Reduction ' Data reduction includes all processes that change the numeric value of the raw data. All field data are generated by directly reading the instrumentation (no calibration curves are generated). Therefore, no reduction of field data will be performed. ' All laboratory data reduction will be performed in accordance with the appropriate methodology and presented to the BLM. The laboratory data will be reviewed to verify that the ' appropriate units are assigned to all concentrations. Laboratory data reduction may include graphs. ' 5.3.2 Data Validation Data will be evaluated for precision, accuracy, and completeness. Validation of field data ' will be performed by an internal documented annual procedures audit. 5.4 Data Management ' All analytical data reports will be tabulated within one month of receipt from the laboratory. Analytical laboratory data will be sent to required agencies and made available for ' inspection and maintained in a central job file. All records will be maintained for the life of the mine. Types of records to be maintained for this project include the following: ' • Field log books Chain-of-custody records ' • Any discrepancy/deficiency reports • Laboratory analytical reports ' All supporting QC information 5.5 Internal Quality Control Checks ' S.S.1 Qrrnlity Conroo! Checks-Field Aetivitres The quality control samples used to measure accuracy and precision affected by field ' activities are described in Appendix C and are summarized below: Distilled Water 131anks ~' These field blanks are samples of de-ionized or distilled water, which are submitted to the ' laboratory for analysis.
