Division et Minerals end paslop~ r"~"R' RE: Lafarge West, Int.'s South Platte Combined Replacement Plan Water Division 1, Water Districts 2 Approval Period: October 1, 2005 through October 31, 2008 Dear Ms. Austin: We have recelved your letters of December 28, 20114, March 30, 2005 and September 30, 2005 requesting renewal of the substitute water supply Plan to cover depletions caused by gravel muting operetkms at mul8ple mine sites operated by Lafarge West, Inc. along the SouUl Platte River. In this current plan, you propose to replace depletions which occur at seven different mine sites, specifically: 1) Howe Pit, IM-78-052, 2) the Tanabe Pit, M-00-002, 3) the Dunes Development, M-99-093, 4) the Mann Lakes, M-82-147, 5) fhe Ft. Lupton P(t, M~5-088, 6) the Riverbend Operation, M~OI)-018, and 7) Stagecoach Stop Property, M-83-067. Plan Operatlon Aceording to the current proposal, the Howe Pit, Dune Development site and Mann Lakes Pit are active mining sites, the only water use at the Fort Lupton Pk and Tanabe Pit will be evaporation from exposed ground water, the Riverbend OpereBon remains inactive with no exposed ground water or consumptive use and the Stagecoach Stop Property will begin mining in December of 21105 . This plan identifies replacement sources to cover depletions from the multiple mine sites. The required fee of E1519 (7 sites x E217/stte) has been sutxnitted.
