TMI's fourth quarter 2006 DMRs were
received by the Division, on January 29, 2007. The reports cover the time period from October 1, 2006
through December 31, 2006. Timely submittal of these reports is in compliance with Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(iii)
Five outfalls discharged during fourth quarter 2006. Outfalls 001, 002 and 020 discharged routinely
throughout the quarter. Outfalls 011 and 021 discharged in response to precipitation events. TMI measured
a precipitation event on October 10, 2006 of 0.33" in a 24-hour period, in addition to 0.81" received over
the preceding 5 days. Primary effluent limitations were exceeded on outfall 011 for TSS. The alternate
limitation will be applied to outfall 011 due to the October 10, 2006 precipitation event. WET tests were
conducted for outfalls 011, 020 and 021. No exceedences of WET test limitations were reported for any of
the tested outfalls.
Sediment levels in the ponds remain below the 60% clean out threshold.
TMI provided precipitation and temperature records with the DMR forms to document weather conditions
on the site.
Thank you for the timely submittal of these reports.
Sincerely,
-~__.
anet Bit~ns
Environmental Protection Specialist
C:/jhb/C81010/DMR's/200614th Q.doc
Cc: Dan Hernandez, DMG
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines
