This letter summarizes our findings, and our <br />inspection report is enclosed. <br />INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER SYSTEM and STORMWATER PERMIT COMPLIANCE <br />INSPECTION: <br />The Blue Ribbon Mine is an inactive coal mine. The facility is undergoing reclamation under Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology permit number C-81-047. Wastewater is generated from stormwater <br />control. There are two permitted wastewater discharge outfalls. The third outfall, Outfa11002, has been <br />transferred to Oxbow Mining Company. <br />• Outfa11001 is a stotmwater settling pond that is also known as Pond #5. This outfall has not <br />discharged in the past 2 yeazs. It is located at 380 57.28 north, 107^ 31.66 west. <br />• Outfall 003 is a stormwater settling pond that is also known as Pond #4. This outfall has not <br />dischazged in the past Z years. It is located at 38^ 57.14 north, 107^ 31.60 west. <br />These facilities aze operated by a Class D industrial wastewater treatment operator, as required by <br />Section 100.6.2 of the Re ulg ation. Facility operations aze under the supervision of Jim Stover, P,E., <br />who holds a current Industrial wastewater Class D license, Certification # 17806, expiration 5/9/2010. <br />Facility conditions are accurately reflected by the current permit. <br />J.
