Dissolved arsenic data, however, were available and
were used as [he background concentration.
Note 2: No current or historical ambient data were available in the dissolved or total recoverable form of Cr*3. However, total Cr data
(representing a combination of the Cr+3 and Cr+6 valences and dissolved and total recoverable fortnS) were available from USGS station
09244464. For a conservative estimate, the total Cr data from this station were used as a comparable background concentration for both the
dissolved and total recoverable Cr+3 forth of chromium.
Note 3: No current data were available for dissolved Ag and no historical data were found a[ upstream or downstream sampling locations.
However, data for total recoverable Ag were found at less than detection levels based on 2 samples collected during 1986 from Rock Creek near
Toponas, C'O. When sample results are found at less than detection levels, [he value of zero is used in accordance with the Division's standard
approach for summarization and averaging. Thus, a background concentration of zero was used based on historical data.
Appendix A ~wQA ev vers;on 4-s rAel.> Page 12 of 19 Last Revised September 2, 2005
