Standards for the protection ojagricultural and <br />water supply uses are all hardness independem. For both Oak Creek and unnamed tributaries to Trout Creek, <br />aquatic life use, agricultural use and drinking water use standards apply. <br />For hardnessdependem meals standards, the numerical value of the aquatic life use based standard will <br />depend upon the combined ejjltrent/receiving stream hardness below the discharge poim, The hardness values <br />to be used arc those which correspond to the bwtr 95th percent confidence limit of the mean hardness value <br />at the periodic low-flow criteria, as duerntined from a regression analysis of sue-spec fu: data. If data for <br />such an analysis is not atiailable, or if a regression analysis is not appropriate, other methods may be used. <br />Hardness data of Oak Creek, near Oak Creek, Colorado (Station Number 09238000J, was extracted from the <br />EPA STOREY System- The mean hardness of 120 mgR as CaCO3 will be used to ca~ulate hardness <br />dependent standards for both the unnantrd tributaries to Trout GYeek and Oak Creek <br />7hc following table sunvnnrizes the muaLs standards for all uses.
