The
material is trucked-in to the Hotchkiss site on an
infrequent basis for dsposal. There was no activity at the
site at the time of the inspection.
Condition of the Site - The overall site condition has not
changed since the preliminary inspection approximately one
year ago. There has not been any topsoil removal and none
of the waste has been covered.
The site appears to be shaped so that runoff cannot escape
from the unreclaimed area. There were no visible signs of
slope instability or signs of problems that could create a
public health hazard.
The compaction of the gob was not checked at this time
because the soil had a high moisture content from recent
precipitation. Compaction tests on any new disposed
material or cover will be run during the next inspection.
:.. ,
