PART I <br />Page 14 <br />Permit No. COG-850000 <br />C. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS <br />3. Analytical and Samoline Methods for Monitorine <br />Analytical and sampling methods utilized by the discharger shall <br />conform co Colorado Regulations for Effluent Limitations (10.1.:), and <br />40 CFR Part 136, <br />The analytical method selected for a parameter shall be the one that <br />can measure the Lowest detected limit for chat parameter unless the <br />permit limitation or stream standard for chose parameters not limited. <br />is within the testing range of another approved method. <br />Calculations for all limitations which require averaging of <br />measurements shall utilize an arithmetic mean unless otherwise <br />specified. <br />4. Records <br />The permittee shall establish and maintain records. Those records <br />shall include the following: <br />a) The date, type, exact location, and time of sampling or <br />measurements; <br />b) The individual(s) who Performed the sampling or measurements; <br />c) The dace(s) the anaiyses were perfcrmed; <br />d) The individuals} who performed the analyses; , <br />e) The analytical techniques or methods used; <br />f) The results of such analyses; and <br />g) Any ocher observations which may result in an impact on the <br />quality or quantity of the discharge as indicated in 40 CFR <br />122.44 (i)(1)(iii). <br />The permits=_e shall retain for a minimum of three (3) years records of <br />all monitoring informac'_on, including all records of analyses <br />performed, all original strip chart recordings for continuous <br />monitoring instrumentation, all calibration and maintenance records, <br />copies of all reports required by this permit and records of all data <br />used co complete the application for this permit. This period of <br />retention shali be extended during the course of any unresolved <br />litigation regarding the discharge of pollutants by the permittee or <br />when requested by the Division or Regional Administrator of EPA. <br />5. Addic'_onal :Monitoring by ?ermitt=e <br />If the permittee monitors any pollutant ac the Location(s) designated <br />herein more frequently than required by this permit, using approved <br />anal•ac'_ca1 methods as specified above, the results of such monitoring <br />shall be included is the calculation and reporting of the values <br />required in the Discharge :lonitoring Repo:c Form (EPA No. :320-1), or <br />ocher forms as required by the Di~~ision. Such increased frequent;- <br />~hai_ also '~e indicated. <br />
