Hayes <br />Reclamation Specialist <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />215 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, CO 60203-2273 <br />Dear Mr. Hayes: <br />~dAY 21989 <br />RECL MAEp~ v-ul^IpN <br />In accordance with your request of March 21, 1989 the Bear Coal <br />Company hereby agrees to relocate alluvial well #AA1 to a point <br />approximately 150 feet south of the existing well. The location <br />of the new well is shown on the enclosed Mine Facilities map; and <br />is labeled as "NEW LOCATION - WELL AA1". The drilling and com- <br />pletion of the well will be finished prior to June 30, 1989. <br />Construction of the well will be as follows: <br />(1) A professional well driller will be hired to drill a 6" <br />diameter hole approximately 15 feet deep. At this depth the <br />bottom of the hole will be below the gravels in the alluvi- <br />"' um. <br />,;, <br />•~"~,,.~"~ (2) Following the drilling of the well, a 4" well screen <br />•~~ ~ ~~~" approximately five feet long will be capped at the bottom <br />?'~ and placed in the well. The remaining depth of the well <br />will be cased with 4" PVC pipe and the casing will extend <br />approximately two feet above the ground. <br />(3) After the well has been cased, the outside of the <br />casing will be backfilled with 1/4" clean, washed gravel. <br />(4) The well will then be capped and cement will be poured <br />around the outside of the casing. <br />(5) Following step ~4, the well will be developed by the <br />driller. <br />If you should require additional information, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />9 <br />COMPANY, INC. <br />stration <br />i <br />
