The staff assigned to planning, schedul-
ing, and collecting data for maintenance of mobile
eyuipment includes:
^ A maintenance planner, who plans and administers
scheduled maintenance. He analyzes the work load,
assigns labor, eyuipment, materials, and bayspace to
accomplish each job, and schedules the time during
which the equipment is available fur maintetance.
^ A material controller, who assists the planner in
making sure that material, parts, and fabrications will be
available to meet the scheduled work.
^ A tire-program coordinator, who supervises the
procedures for use and preventive mainterance of all
tires, including repair, recapping, and replacement.
Good control is absolutely necessary to avoid excessive
tire costs-a major operating expense.
