The maintenance job card (MJC) is
a short message form used (o request or assign unsched-
uled or emergency jobs of short duration-generally
performed by one man. The MJC documents all small
jobs that are not planned and scheduled. It informs
management of the work done and the labor and mate-
rial expended on specific equipment. PM attempts to
reduce such emergency work to an economic.311y attrac-
tive minimum.
The second form, which is more comprehensive, is the
maintenance job order (MJO). It is used to control
scheduled maintenance of major scope, inclLding over-
hauls and replacement of engines and a~mponents.
Opening an MJO begins a process to ensure availability
of manpower, material, parts, and equipment (or repairs
at a specified time. Each MJO specifies a single major
job on a specific piece of mobile equipment :ind breaks
down the costs of labor and materials for individual
components of the machine, such tts the engine and
transmission.
Fig. 4-Weekly status report
HENDEASON MINE MAINTENANCE
HMH00]-O1 JOB ORDER 6TATU5 REPORT PAGE 1]
DEPARTMENT A2200 WEE% 2H DATE Ol/23/]6
HJO PROPERTY PRIOR- WEE% WEE% WEEK OCC - - - MANHOURS - - -
NUMHER NUMBER DESCRIPTION ITY NO OPEN DUE CLOSE CODE EST ACT BKLOG FLAG
0061 51-0103 WAGNER 5 YD BO 20 21 2] B4DB 900.0 $90.0 0,0
LHD 8418 0.0 32.0 0.0
OVH UNIT 8602 400.0 9.0 396.0
TOTAL 800.0 626.0 1]9.0 D
0166 51-0110 WAGNER 5 YD
LHD
RPR ARTICULA ]2 29 29
TI ON
0289 99-1930 POWER CABLES 60 28 29
1ST ELEC FAN
9tM'
TOTAL DEPT 42200
831] ]2.0 0.0 32.0 O~
8418 31.0 0.0 32.0
8812 32.0 0.0 32.0 \
10'6~L 96.0 0.0 96.0
~~
~
8103 16.0 0.0 16.0 O
1C1TAL 16.0 0.0 1fi.0
1512.0 626.0 BH6.0
