The inspections were
performed by qualified inspectors under my supervision.
At the time of the inspections the ponds were functioning as designed and required maintenance items
wen: not significant. Sediment was removed from East Pyeatt No. 1 and Elk ponds during the quarter.
The flume below Coyote dam was also re-leveled and stabilized.
As you know, heavy rains occurred during lace September. These "events" exceeded the design
capacity of our stmctures. Outflow erosion and flume displacement occurred in some areas. At least
three ponds received a significant amount of silt and require cleaning (East Pyeatt No. 1 has already
been cleaned; Oak No. 1 is currently being cleaned). At your request an inventory of damage and a
schedule of repairs is being developed by our EQ Departrnent. The fourth quarter inspection report will
address the damages and repairs in more detail.
Call if you need any additional information.
Sincerely,
:~ ,~~.
James M.
