There are no structural problems to
report at the current time. All dams are functioning as designed with no evidence of piping in the older
dams with culverts (principal spillway) through the dam. A moderate spring runoff has past without
incident. The vegetation response from 1988 seeding will be obtained and monitored during the 2nd and
3rd quarter.
During the 1st quarter, sediment levels were approximated as the water levels and turbidity shielded
observation of actual volumes. More precise measurements will be made during low water periods this
summer. Any pond Leaning in 1989 will be listed and submitted to the CMLRD by July for approval. The
annual sediment survey for Coyote Dam will be conducted once again in 1989. Last years Leaning should
be adequate to meet compliance for several years.
We are observing some muskrat activ'ty in several of our sediment contrd ponds. Appropriate action will
be taken to insure against future damage to these structures.
Sincerely,
v
William Agnew
Senior Environmental Engineer
Attachment
WA/jlr/025
pc R.L Fanyo
W.S.
