COLORADO BI302 <br />August 4, 1986 <br />TO: National King Coal, Inc. <br />OFFICE 909 347-0118 <br />RESIDENCE 347-3680 <br />SUBJECT: Quarterly Subsidence Monitoring, King Coal Mine, La <br />Plata County, Colorado, Third Quarter 1986 <br />1) The third quarterly visual inspection for subsidence at the <br />King Coal Mine, La Plata County, Colorado was made on July 23, <br />1986. <br />2) No change was noted in conditions reported during the second <br />quarter. <br />3) No new evidence of subsidence is apparent. <br />The surface area above both old and new workings vaas in- <br />spected for evidence of slump, subsidence, shearing, cracks in <br />bedrock, vegitation damage and water infiltration. No evidence <br />of subsidence is apparent. <br />The purpose of the inspection was to meet requirements of <br />the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division for quarterly <br />monitoring of the surface for subsidence. <br /> <br />
