When
my family moved here, the static water level in our well was
thirteen feet. Over the years it has become progressively
lower and is now twenty-five feet.
The mining operations in this area have become more and
more aggressive. Western Mobile - Northern, Inc. who leases
land from Flatiron, is making prepartions to mine the land
adjacent to several neighbors' property line and in close
proximity to their potable water wells. (Please note the
enclosed aerial view of section 36).
What can be done to protect our only source of potable
water? One of the neighbors, Mr Don Kinzer, 719 North 28th
Avenue, Greeley, Colorado, 80631, (303) 353-8144, may have
already lost one well. He is not getting any water from it
at this time.
Enclosure: Aerial View. Respectfully,
t~~~i,~-~". ~v,~
Rex J. Ortgiesen
