Following <br />are the responses to your questions: <br />1. The existing 6.25 acre pit is in use and will be used in conjunction <br />with the new proposed acreage. <br />2. See Exhibit D for the characteristics of the pit. The size of the <br />pit will depend on the gravel deposits it holds. It will be smaller <br />than the permitted acres. We want a buffer zone to surround the pit. <br />The pit will be mined in small areas. This will be done in a manner <br />h, stated in Exhibit D. <br />~} 3. The topsoil varies because the gravel comes to the top of the ground <br />in different areas. We plan to make an even cover of topsoil. <br />4. See Exhibit E under Topsoil. <br />A sorghum cover crop will be planted at a rate of 10 to 15 lbs. per <br />acre. <br />6.
