<br />Dear Mr. Bennett: <br />III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />~C <br />~~~,~,` T r8 ryg4. <br />` ' cii,.n~, c,~ <br />I am enclosing a report, for your review and co~tlent, <br />submitted to our office by the Forest Service which further <br />documents some of the impacts occurring on the South Fork of the <br />San Miguel River near the Telluride Gravel mining operations. <br />This report expands upon Forest Service letter dated August 25, <br />1993 which you received with our letter dated August 27, 1993. <br />depletion to evaporation. <br />The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has also indicated <br />that the mining activities may affect Federally endangered fish <br />species (see letter dated July 29, 1993) through water <br />depletions.
