The soil is well
suited for irrigated pasture and hay crops.
Small areas are suitable for orchard crops.
Railroad spur area
Fluvaquen[s, flooded. Capability subclass VIw,
nonirrigated. Native vegetation composed of
willow and cottonwood, water tolerant grasses,
sedges and rushes. Grazing potential on some
areas suitable for livestock and wildlife use.
Soils are highly suited for waterfowl and and
shore bird habitat. Recreation potential is
severe due to flooding. Building site develop-
ment potential is severe due to high water ta-
ble and hazard of flooding,
Glento^ fine sandy loam, 0-3% slope. Capabili-
ty subclasses IIe, irrigated and VIIe, nonirri-
• gated. Native vegetation composed of shrub-
grass community. Potential vegetation is a
sagebrush-grass community. Grazing potential
on half the acreage is suitable for livestock
and wildlife use. The soil provides habitat
for desert cottontail and mourning dove. Rec-
reation potential is severe to moderate due to
dust and floods. Building site development po-
tential is severe to moderate due to hazard of
flooding. Some areas are suitable for irrigat-
ed crops and some for orchard crops.
Waste disposal area
Torriorthents/Rock Outcrop, sandstone complex.
Capability subclass VIIs, nonirrigated. Adapt-
ed species consist of wheatgrass and ricegrass.
Grazing potential is restric[ed for livestock.
Soils are best suited for wildlife habitat, and
used as winter range by mule deer. Recreation
potential is moderate due to rock outcrops.
Building site development potential is not rat-
ed for these soils, but considered to be se-
vere. These soils are unsuited for cropland
due to surface stoniness and slope.
• Revised 10/12/S6
Revised 10/O1/S7
6
