Samson
Environmental Engineer
Utah International , Inc. - -.-. -.
P.O. Box 187
Craig, CO 81625
Dear Mr. Samson:
As you requested in your letter of June 9, 1980, I am forwarding an
evaluation of site number MF 348 as made by Rick Athearn, Colorado
State Office Historian.
Based on the site forms prepared by Chris Arthur of LOPA, Mr. Athearn
has concluded that the site does not qualify for inclusion on the
National Register of Historic P?aces because:
1. This site is not associated with events that have made a signifi-
cant contribution to the broad patterns of our history;
2. This site is not associated with the lives of persons significant
in our past;
3. This site does not embody the distinctive characteristics of a
type, period, or method of construction and it does not represent
the work or' a master and it c;oes not possess high artistic values
and it does not represent a significant and distinguishable entity
whose components may lack distinction;
4. And, finally, this site has not yielded nor does it appear likely
to yield information important in pre-history or history.
It is recommended that this site be mapped (to scale) and photographed
using good quality black and white film and processed to archival stan-
dards, and that these records be submitted to the State Historic Preser-
vation Officer for his files.
CONSERVE
AM ERICA'3
ENERGY
• ~ ~ __
Save Energy and You Serve America!
