<br /> <br />• <br />Fee Coal <br />Grand Valley Coal Company = 50~ <br />The right of Grand Valley to enter onto and mine coal in the Fee <br />land is based upon its ownership of an undivided 50 percent interest <br />in the surface and coal. The other 50 percent is leased to Grand <br />Valley from three separate owners. The owners, lease dates and a <br />history of the lease record is detailed below: <br />Betty L. Branch _ 25~ <br />Mrs. Branch holds an undivided 25 percent interest in the Fee lands. <br />A 20 year lease to mine coal by any method from surface or <br />underground was issued to William E. Wise et ux. on December 29, <br />1977. The lease grants renewal rights and allows use of water <br />rights held by the lessee on the lands. The lease was assigned to <br />Sheridan Enterprises, Inc. on May 14, 1979; to Salt Creek on <br />December 5, 1980; then to Grand Valley on October 16, 1992. <br />Kathryne E Henry - 16.7 <br />Mrs. Henry holds an undivided 1/6 th interest in the fee lands <br />through heirship and purchase. Half of that 1/6 th was through <br />heirship and half was through purchase. In both cases the coal <br />lease was attached to the property. The 20 year leases to mine coal <br />by any method from surface or underground were issued to William E. <br />Wise et ux. on December 29, 1977 for the inherited land and on <br />November 2, 1978 for the purchased land. <br />C-2 <br />TIR -O~"' <br />4/29/94 <br />
