In Phase 2 Connell proposes to mine a 100 foot wide strip around
the perimeter of the future reservoir. As they progress in Phase 2 they will be lining, sloping,
and planting temporary vegetation. Temporary in that some areas will be submerged once [he
reservoir is filled. After the completion of Phase 2 there will be a long narrow trench around the
entire property. If Connell was unable to continue mining at this site after Phase 2 the unsloped
side of the trench would have to be backfilled, graded to 3H:1 V, and revegitated.
TABLE L-1 SUMMARY OF RECLAMATION COSTS
Costs Amouut
DISTURBANCE COST TOTAL 102,270
CONTRACTOR MOB/DEMOB(8.0%) 8,181.60
OVERHEAD (18.5%) 18,919.95
ADMINISTRATIVE (5%) 6,059.50
TOTAL PROPOSED BOND 135,431.05
DISTURBED ACREAGE 33.75
BOND COST PER ACRE 4,012.77
17
