Natural Soda, Inc. March 2001
Surface and Groundwater Monitoring Report
The downgradient Yellow Creek surface-water stream sampling site is approximately 0.4 mile
downstream of the AM-2 alluvial well location. This downgradient location is identified as
SW-3. No samples were obtained for SW-2 or SW-3, as site SW-2 was dry and SW-3 was
frozen. March field measurements for the SW-1 surface water site aze presented in Table 8. The
analytical laboratory results are presented in Table 9. The complete analytical laboratory data
reports are presented in Appendix A.
Springs
Three springs were identified in the area of the project. Spring 5-14 is located along Corral
Gulch near SW-1. Springs SP-] and SP-2 straddle Yellow Creek below the confluence of Stake
Springs Draw and Corral Gulch (see Figure 1).
Springs were sampled by Daub & Associates, Inc. There has been no measurable flow from
S-14. March field measurements for sites SP-1 and SP-2 are presented in Table 10 and the
analytical laboratory results are presented in Tables 11 and 12. The complete analytical
laboratory data reports, which include the Long List constituents for each spring, aze presented in
Appendix A.
Quality Control Samples
Quality control (QC) sample results for the March 2001 water-sampling event are presented in
Table 13. The complete analytical laboratory data report is included in Appendix A. QC
analysis and reporting included blank, spike and duplicate samples.
Daub 8 Associates, Inc.
