I disagree with the statement made on Page 12, Paragraph 1, that either
Well W82-2L or W82-19A have "moderate" SARs. The SARs in the range of
50-80 are extremely high and the water would be totally useless for
agricultural and domestic purposes without ion-exchange treatment.
2. The same patterns in ground water quality seem to exist in 1985 as
those reported in the 1980 permit application, That is, a large area
of very poor quality water exists in zones identified as Hydrogeologic
Sections I and III. The zone identified as Hydrogeologic Section II
still contains water of fair quality.
3. However, there seems to be a slight increase in metals concentrations
in all the areas that might represent responses to seasonal variations
in temperature or water levels. Some of these metals, sucfi as lead, at
one time or another exceeds one or more of the regulatory standards in
most of the wells.
4. Water levels seem to be slightly higher and flow directions are
probably the same as those reported in the permit application ie.,
east-northeast.
srs
9384E
See n~ closures
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
