Figure 14-1 Notes
Note 1: Keep road to CRDA-1 open to accept coal and refuse material from other
ongoing reclamation activities. This road is within the coal mine waste
disposal area; therefore, it is not a DMG regulated road. The road begins
at the west end of Haul Road No. 5 and extends to the top of CRDA-1.
Note 2: The reclamation of the suspension bridge and Transfer #2 was delayed
so the Operator would have time to maximize the commercial value of the
bridge. Upon further consideration the decision was made to reclaim the
suspension bridge and associated structures. Demolition of the structures
was completed in December 2003 and regrading and seeding of the area,
along with the conveyor corridor from Transfer #2 to the Excel Culvert,
was completed in March 2004.
Note 3: The culvert under the Excel Energy road will not be reclaimed. The road,
with the culvert in place, provides a favorable haul route for trucks
delivering coal to Excel's power plant.
Note 4: The reclamation of the office complex, shop, warehouse and Substation A
at the portal level and the guard shack, training building and lab buildings
at the lower level will be delayed so the operator has time to finalize the
sale of the property and submit a permit revision to the Division requesting
a land use change in association with the structures and final contours of
the area.
Note 5: The top of the Roadside Refuse pile will be left open until the sale and
land use change application explained in Note 4 has been completed.
The top of the refuse pile was used as a material storage area and ft
could function the same for the company that acquires the office and shop
complex.
Rev. 09/05 Figure 14-1 Page 10/10
